Can I know that all my sins (past, present, and future) are forgiven, and that I will have eternal life in heaven? |

Yes, you can know for sure that whenever you die, you will have eternal life. The Bible says in I John 5:13a, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life..." |

Since the Bible says I can know that I can have eternal life, What must do to receive forgiveness of sin and eternal life in heaven? |

We find the answer in the last part of the same verse, "and that ye may BELIEVE on the NAME of the Son of God," I John 5:13b. |

What must I understand to believe in the name of the Son of God? |

There are three truths you must understand and once you do that there is one decision that you will need to make. |

What is the first truth? |

The first truth is the problem of sin. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" |

What is the second truth? |

The second truth is there is a penalty for sin. Again the Bible says in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." |

What is the third truth? |

The third truth is the payment of sin. We read in the last part of the previous verse that God has provided a way to escape the wages of sin. "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." God is offering us a gift and in order to get it we must receive it. God tells us in John 1:12, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" |

Ok, I understand the three truths, What decision must I make? |

You need to make the decision to receive Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior. If you really agree with these truths and Are ready to depend on Jesus Christ and what he did for you on the cross? If so would you tell God (pray) that you believe these three truths and that you want to receive Him? Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." |
